Commision Logistics, Financial and Donor Information


The Greeley Philharmonic Association will contract with composer, Glen Cortese, for the commission of a new work titled “Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra (“Mystic Places”)” based on donated funds to the orchestra. The goal for the commission is $22,00.00 to $25,000.00 to cover the cost of composition and production of all orchestra materials (score and parts).
The Greeley Philharmonic Association is a non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) and any contribution will be tax deductible except for the value of the following benefits:
4 concert tickets to the world premiere ($120.00 value)
(All donors of $500.00 and above)
A compact disc recording of the world premiere  ($10.00 value) (All donors of $1000.00 and above this and all the previous benefits)
A signed copy of the orchestra score by the composer/conductor and the oboe soloist) ($75.00 value) (All donors of $2500.00 and above this and all the previous benefits)
An historical hardcover book on the history of the Greeley Philharonic for it’s 100th Anniversary in the 2010-11 season ($45.00 value) (All donors of $5000.00.00 and above this and all the previous benefits)
Benefits may be refused if the donor wishes to have their entire donation be tax deductible. All donors will be listed in the concert program. Donations may be made to support this project by either writing a check to “Greeley Philharmonic Association” and should be earmarked by making a note on the check that states “Donation for Oboe Concerto Commission”.
